The final two days!!

We can hardly believe that we have reached the end of Reception and whilst we are not literally spreading our wings very far next year we are still making the move into Year One, even though it only seems like yesterday that our Robins were coming through our door for the first time!

It has been an absolute pleasure watching each and every Robins grow into the wonderful character that they are today, full of enthusiasm for absolutely everything! We have not doubt that they will continue to go from strength to strength in Year 1 as they continue to shine as the individuals that they are....now let's take a little look back at our journey so far......

Wow what a lot of memories we've made together! We couldn't have ended the year together in a better way either....

Over the summer we are not sending home any reading books but instead are encouraging all children to get involved in the Reading challenge at every local library!

From 1 July, children aged 4-11 years can visit a library to sign up for the free Summer Reading Challenge. The theme of this year's challenge is Story Garden, which is all about inspiring children's imaginations and exploring the connection between storytelling and nature, through the power of reading. There will also be a mini-challenge for pre-school children and one for grown-ups too!

The Summer Reading Challenge is a great way for children to keep up their reading skills and confidence over the Summer holidays and prevent the common holiday 'reading dip'. We would love to hear all about the children's achievements with their Summer Reading Challenge so please bring in their Summer Reading Challenge record in September!

Have a wonderful Summer holiday and we can't wait to see you all back in September.....
