Hot, hot, hot!

Wow, it's been a scorching one this week. We've been very lucky to have the shade of our lovely back field to use at lunch times this week and the opportunity to do a little bit of water play courtesy of Robins, which was much appreciated!
We've been busy again, with Sports Day and transition days as well as a packed schedule of rehearsals in the run up to our performance next week - including a technical rehearsal in full costume, which was very exciting!
On Tuesday, our four Sports Day leaders stepped up to help Mrs Brown with setting up and assisting with the races, doing an excellent job of showing teamwork and encouragement to everyone.
Our House Captains led their houses in cheering for the racers and creating some lovely banners and flags to show their support for their house. What a great show of leadership and teamwork?!
Congratulations to Watermill on their victory this year, and to everyone who participated in their races.

Transition days on Thursday and Friday gave us a chance for the Year 5s to step up into the shoes of the Year 6s in our new Red Kites class and for the current Year 6s to begin preparing some special things for our leavers' assembly. We can't wait to share them with you!

Practise those lines over the weekend, we're almost there!
