Advent

As we enter this special time of advent, we are encouraging the children to think about the importance of our Christian Value, Compassion. Over the next few weeks, we will take moments to reflect on all that we are grateful for and how we can help others.

The children have helped to transform our classroom into a grotto! We have lights, we have tinsel, we have snowflakes! Thanks for all the decorations - they are very special.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to celebrate the birth of your son Jesus Christ, but also for a time to see those who live far away or those who we don't spend time with very often. Thank you for today, as we start this special time of advent, to rejoice together and help us show compassion to those less fortunate than us, who might not be having a Christmas with their family. And as we grow closer to that tome of year, help us to show kindness and warmth as it grows colder. 

Amen.
