We firmly believe music helps us to express ourselves, supports wellbeing, a sense of unity, physical development and skills for the future, as well as being great fun!
Music in EYFS and KS1
Our EYFS/KS1 children enjoy Pantomimus sessions every Thursday. This is a specially created programme to develop the music concepts through music-making, movement and exploration. Click HERE for more details.
Music in KS2
We are lucky enough to have Berkshire Maestros every Friday as part of the music curriculum so all the children in KS2 learn to play at least 1 instrument in groups. In addition, we have 1-1 tuition free of charge for some pupils on Friday mornings from Hogan Music. You can visit the website HERE for more details.
Private tuition of many instruments is also available. Speak to Miss Elliott for more information or click HERE to visit the website.
Join the ‘Drumming Aces’ our Djembe club
The Drumming Club is on a Monday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. It is led by our talented visiting drum specialist, Karlos Edwards.
Is singing more your thing?
Why not join the ‘C Sharps’, our Choir Club on Fridays 3.15-4.00, led by Miss Elliott.
We will soon have Music Practice Club on Friday lunchtimes and also Recorder Club!
There are lots of opportunities for performing. Watch this space for the next one.
If you are unable to attend performances, please speak to Miss Elliott who will be able to show you videos!
