World War II Day

On the last day of this term, we took part in an Evacuation Day experience. Everyone's 1940's outfits looked amazing and we were lucky to have some visitors from the RAF Welford Historical Society, who brought with them an air raid siren for us to hear and a Jeep made in 1942, which we were allowed to sit in! We looked at a real gas mask and got to try on a US soldier's helmet. We also did some 1940's style lessons and got a "taste" of rationing!

Have a great holiday.
