What can we say other than..... CONGRATULATIONS to all your children. They have amazed us all with their courage, hard work and perseverance. They have worked so hard for the Christmas play with their singing, learning their lines, remembering where to go. We think you should all be very proud of all your children and we hope that you enjoyed the Christmas play! School is now feeling extremely festive!
With all our rehearsing, our dress rehearsal and our performances there hasn't been a lot of time for other things. However, we have managed to make our Christmas cards which will be coming home at the end of term, written our recounts of our trip to The Vale and Downland Museum that we went on last week and we have even been "caving"!
That's right, caving! In our P.E. lesson which we have been having on a Monday with the specialist sports teacher from Park House, there were lots of tunnels for the children to move through. They started off with the tunnels separate. The children had to move through the tunnels in different ways - crawling, sliding on their back , sliding on their tummy etc. Some tunnels were wide and some were very narrow! Once the children had mastered this, all the tunnels were put together to make one long tunnel. The children had to work together in teams to get through this. We saw some super teamwork!
Important dates for next week!
As we draw nearer to the festive break we have one more, almost week to go and there are some important festivities to see us through our 4 days at school!
On Wednesday we will be taking part in our Christmas Service at St Mary's Great Shefford Church 9.30am. When we get back to school we will also be enjoying Christmas lunch together!
On Thursday we will be going to the Pantomime at the Corn Exchange in Newbury, we can't wait to see Robin Hood!
Wow what a busy week- Have a wonderful, well deserved rest this weekend!
Wishing you all a weekend full of festive fun!
