Term 2 Week 6

19 Dec 25

What an incredible last week of term it has been for Owls Class. We have truly ended the term on a high, celebrating learning, togetherness and some very special moments along the way.

One of the highlights of the week was our trip to Littlecote. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds and learning more about Roman history, including the beautiful mosaic. They showed curiosity, respect and enthusiasm throughout the visit and represented the school brilliantly. It was lovely to see them so engaged and asking thoughtful questions as they moved around the site.

We also took part in the Christmas service at church, where Owls Class confidently read out their reflections about the meaning of Christmas. The children spoke clearly and thoughtfully, sharing messages about kindness, gratitude and being together. They showed real maturity and confidence, and it was a very proud moment to see them stand up and use their voices so calmly in front of an audience.

To keep the reading momentum going over the holidays, the children have been set a KS2 Winter Reading Challenge. This is all about enjoying reading in different ways, with no pressure, just encouragement. All reading counts, whether it is a novel, a graphic text, a poem or non fiction. Thank you for supporting this at home and helping to keep reading a regular and enjoyable part of the holidays.

We would like to wish all our Owls Class families a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Thank you for your continued support this term. We look forward to welcoming the children back refreshed, rested and ready for more learning in the new year.
