Owls Class (Yr 3-4)

A Bright Beginning for Owls Class

What a fantastic start to the year we have had in Owls Class! The children came in on Thursday with big smiles, delighted to see their friends and teachers after the summer break. The children were eager to talk about their holiday adventures, sharing the activities they enjoyed and the places they visited. Their stories were both enlightening and enjoyable to listen to.

The children have also been incredibly warm and welcoming. They helped new classmates to settle quickly and made them feel part of the group straight away. I have felt just as welcomed myself and it has been lovely to begin the year with such kindness and positivity.

Over these first two days, the Year 3s and 4s have taken part in reading activities, tackled some maths work, explored their creativity through art and engaged enthusiastically in a singing assembly which ended with a thoughtful prayer.

We have also started reading our new class novel, 'The Last Bear' by Hannah Gold. The children have really enjoyed listening to the opening chapters and are already beginning to share their thoughts and predictions about the story. It has sparked lots of excitement, and we are looking forward to reading more together.

It has been such a positive start and we are looking forward to an exciting year of learning, friendship and new experiences together.
